Comelit Fire Protection System Types;
Conventional Fire Protection Systems
Conventional systems are particularly suited to fire detection in smaller facilities and buildings with simple layouts. These systems require the installation of detectors and manual call points, with a maximum of 32 devices per zone.
Addressable Fire Protection Systems
Addressable systems can identify the precise location of a fire and are suitable for facilities of all types. Each loop of an addressable panel can include up to 250 devices.
Aspirating Smoke Detection System
The aspirating smoke detection system should be used in conjunction with addressable or conventional systems and is the ideal replacement for point detectors in installations where access – and therefore maintenance – is difficult.
ATEX fire alarm systems should be installed in places where there is a high risk of explosion, due to the atmospheric conditions and the elements in that environment.
